Measurement and Evaluation

To measure our results in the circus school, we have used two methods:
A) The Wheel of values  – a method that together with the children measures different development areas within the group.

B) Survey with the parents.

Wheel of Values
We see a meaningful change in the groups we work with and therefore we have developed a method for measuring the development. We have summarized it in five different areas.

  1. COOPERATION
  2.  RESPECT
  3. CONCENTRATION
  4. EQUALITY
  5. SELF-ESTEEM

The children choose one aspect that they want to develop and the circus educators choose another one based on the group’s needs.

Each class, the children, together with the educators, evaluate their development. This provides opportunities for responsibility, participation and increased awareness. We continue to develop the method.

B. Survey with the parents
At the end of the semester, we handed out anonymous surveys to investigate how satisfied the parents and children are with the circus school, the educators and the information from Cirkus Unik.
