Head of operations and co-founder of Cirkus Unik.
Elin was born in Sweden and raised in Brazil, with a background in new circus and over 20 years of circus experience. She started as an artist in a new circus theater group in Brazil and still performs as an artist with Cirkus Unik.
Elin holds a master’s degree in Global Studies at the University of Gothenburg and has a long commitment in social and inclusive work. Elin came to Gothenburg in 2011 with Jailton Carneiro. She saw that social differences also exist in Sweden and started Cirkus Unik as circus is also a tool for reducing the social divisions. Elin was elected Change Leader by Reach for Change and is now Alumni. In addition, Cirkus Unik has been awarded prizes by Brewhouse and Business Region Gothenburg.
Elin, in collaboration with the team, has developed measurement methods of social impact and is responsible for further training of the staff of Cirkus Unik together with Jailton.
